PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body having high operability and a control method thereof. SOLUTION: This moving body 1 includes: an occupant seat 8 where an occupant gets aboard; a chassis 13 for supporting the occupant seat 8; wheels 6 for moving the chassis 13; a force sensor 9 for outputting measured signal corresponding to a force applied to the seat surface of the occupant seat 8; a control calculating section 51 for calculating a command value for driving the wheels 6 in accordance with the measured signal; a yaw axis mechanism 501 for rotating the occupant seat 8 around a yaw axis; a roll axis mechanism 503 for rotating the yaw axis mechanism around the roll axis; and a pitch axis mechanism 502 for rotating the yaw axis mechanism 501 around the pitch axis.
