PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detection device for detecting the whole of one vehicle. SOLUTION: As for distance data stored in each storage region 23a, the maximum amount of distance data stored in each line is set. When the maximum amount is satisfied, the distance data to be acquired the next are stored at a line and a column shifted by one in the storage region 23a. Thus, even if a mirror stay or the like whose total number of storage regions 23a detected as an object to be detected is less than a predetermined number of lines, the number of lines is set equal to or more than the predetermined value.
