<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface type antenna device which has simple configuration, is light in weight, can be loaded on a moving body without the need of substantial alteration of the moving body or substantial weight increase, and does not reduce the moving performance of the moving body even when the antenna device is enlarged more than a conventional surface type antenna device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The surface type antenna device includes: supports 22, 28 and 30 in a plane shape having one surface and the other surface turned opposite to the one surface; a plurality of antenna elements 24 disposed between the one surface and the other surface of the supports and an antenna element operation module 26 for controlling the operation of the antenna elements; and a heat transmission structure 28 exposed on the other surface of the supports, to which heat from the antenna elements and the antenna element operation module is transmitted. Radio waves are transmitted and received by the antenna elements through the one surface of the support, and the other surface of the support is supported so as to transmit the heat to the excellently heat conductive outer surface of the moving body 40.
