<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection-side end structure of a microphone cord such that stress is applied to neither an insulating core wire nor a shielding wire to prevent a wire from being broken even when a reinforcing thread slips. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The connection-side end structure of the microphone cord is applied to the microphone cord 11 constituted by coating the reinforcing thread 22, insulating core wire 32, and shielding wire 42 in one body with an insulating coating material 52, and the connection-side end 12 of the microphone cord 11 includes a shielding-wire first exposed portion 13 having the exposed reinforcing thread 22 and insulating core wire 32 at the tip side and having the insulating coating material 52 partially removed, and a shielding-wire second exposed portion 14 formed between an insulating coating left portion 53 provided at an inner-side adjacent position of the shielding-wire first exposed portion 13 and the insulating coating material 52 on a more inner side. At the insulating coating left portion 53, a position fixation portion 17 is formed by calking using metal fittings 16 in a state where a slack portion 15 is formed at the shielding-wire second exposed portion 14 by applying tension to the reinforcing thread 22.
