PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable label which can be easily separated from a container on which it is mounted. SOLUTION: The heat shrinkable label is formed in a tubular shape by overlapping and joining one end and the other end of a heat shrinkable base film 7 and is mounted on the body periphery of the container. The overlapped portion includes a strong jointing part 8 and a weak jointing part 9 provided at upper and lower parts of the strong jointing part 8. In the weak jointing part 9, the base film 7 is joined with a joint controlling layer 10 put in between.
