PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which makes an image degradation inconspicuous when the image degradation occurs at a non-image part, and outputs an image even until a serviceman reaches and completes maintenance care. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: image forming units (1Y, 1C, 1M and 1K) for toner colors to form an image; and an image forming unit (1W) for white toner. When the image degradation occurs at the non-image part, an image is formed by the white toner on an uppermost layer of the non-image part by the image forming unit (1W) for the white color, and is fixed.
