<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device for allowing a user to quickly find out a remote control, which the user can not remember where it is placed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A remote control position detector 20 measures a variety of information about the position of the remote control. If a remote control light receiving portion 3 receives a signal from the remote control, a control portion 1 controls the remote control position detector 20 to perform measurement, and controls a memory 2 to store a remote control location information, which is information on position of the remote control formed based on the measured result. If a remote control position display button 4 is depressed, the control portion 1 controls a display 5 to display an image showing a roughly estimated position of the remote control, based on the remote control location information stored at the memory 2.
