<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a debugging device which can surely prevent runaway, can stop with high accuracy only when appropriate and is easy to operate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The debugging device for stopping the performance of a program by a predetermined performing device is provided with a stop designation position acquiring part for acquiring a stop designation position designated by a user, a first stop control part for stopping the performance of the program when the performing device performs an instruction of the stop designation position, and a second stop control part for stopping the performance of the program if the instruction of the stop designation position is not performed when the performing device performs the program beyond a scope including the present program stop position in acquiring the stop designation position.
