<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for evaluation/test of lens abrasion resistance appropriately evaluating abrasion resistance of a lens over the whole surface of the lens with satisfactory repeatability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device is for evaluation of lens abrasion resistance of a lens and includes: a support 4 mounted with a lens holder 12 holding the lens L; a support arm 5 positioned above the support 4 and mounted with an abrading member 29 for abrading the surface of the lens L held on the lens holder 12; a moving/operating mechanism for moving/operating either the support 4 or the support arm 5, or both of them, to reciprocate/slide the abrading member 29 in one direction while pressing it against the surface of the lens L. The support 4 supports the lens holder 12 so as to allow it to move at least in a direction that crosses the one direction and supports the lens holder 12 so as to allow it to tilt in a direction that inclines the optical axis of the lens L.
