A driving maneuver assisting apparatus includes a learning section that learns the driving pattern of a driver over a predetermined period, a non-steadiness degree calculating section that calculates the degree of non-steadiness representing how much a current driving pattern differs from the driving pattern learned at the learning section, a learning level calculating section that calculates the learning level at the learning section, and a notifying section that notifies the driver of maneuver assisting information for promoting the driving pattern learned at the learning section according to the learning level calculated by the learning level calculating section when the degree of non-steadiness calculated by the non-steadiness degree calculating section exceeds a threshold value.  The notifying section provides the contents of the maneuver assisting information in more detail as the learning level calculated by the learning level calculating section gets higher.
