<p>The invention relates to a closing device (1) for closing preferably bag-shaped packing units (2) by pressing them together, the bags having regions of different thicknesses along the packing opening to be closed, such as block-bottom bags, particularly made of coated or uncoated paper, cardboard, plastic, foil and/or fabric material, said packing units (2) having at least one sealing surface (4) which is integrated or applied onto the material and suitable for the permanent bonding with an opposing surface which rests thereon or is pressed thereon, wherein the closing device (1) comprises a pressing device (10) having at least one pressing device (5) and at least one counter-pressing device (6), between which the packing units (2) can be pressed together in the region of the sealing surface(s) (4) thereof, optionally while applying heat. In order to achieve a uniformly durable closure, the pressing device (5) and the counter-pressing device (6) have zones exhibiting different pressures and/or different temperatures along the packing opening to be closed.</p> |
