<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety system for a road, which can precedently discriminate between vehicles making an entry into the vicinity of a disaster site, so as to prevent a secondary disaster for a field worker etc. from being caused by the vehicle making an entry into the disaster site, which can give a danger warning to the worker etc. by an easily-audible signal, a visible visual signal, a sensory signal, etc., which is excellent in workability by virtue of easiness of installation and removal, which is more inexpensively and more simply constituted than ever, and which can endure even repeated use. <P>SOLUTION: A safety device for the road, which includes a sensor capable of detecting the approach of a traveling vehicle and a transmission portion capable of transmitting an external output signal depending on a discrimination made by the sensor, is installed in the rear of the disaster site. On the other hand, an alarm device for the road, which has a warning sound generator for generating a warning sound by receiving the external output signal is installed near the worker.
