<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor unit, by which the occurrence of cracks in a conductive layer is prevented, and image formation can be stably performed without coming off the connection of gears. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor unit has a conductive layer having a film thickness of 20 to 50 μm on an outer periphery of a cylindrical base 3 and is configured by mounting a connection member 1 to an end of the cylindrical base. The method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor unit includes: a step of coating the inner surface on which the connection member abuts with a resin layer 5 that is larger than the cylindrical base and has a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than the connection member; and a step of connecting the connection member 1 to the cylindrical base 3 by mounting the connection member 1 to the cylindrical base 3 under a storage environment at a temperature of ≤0°C to make a part of the cylindrical base bite or by cut and bend the end of the cylindrical base, wherein when an inner diameter of the base is DS, an outer diameter of the connection member is DG and a film thickness of the resin layer provided inside the base is R, the following expression is satisfied in a state that the cylindrical base is stored for ≥24 h under the environment at the temperature of ≤0°C and before the resin layer connects the connection member to the cylindrical base: (DS-DG)/2≤R DG<DS 10 μm ≤R≤40 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
