<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate conveying and storage by enabling mutual movement of the hollow shells of a percussion musical instrument between open state and closed state. <P>SOLUTION: The percussion musical instrument includes a beating surface 13 fastened to a shell 2, and the shell 2 includes at least two, preferably three or more hollow bodies 4 movably coupled to each other along a common axis C of translation like a nest.
