<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for a golf club, having light weight and sufficient stiffness in torsion and in flexure, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft for the golf club includes each of layers of three or more of: bias layers 11, 12 and 13 made of a fiber-reinforced resin including reinforced fibers that are oriented at bias angles of +α°and -α°to the axis (wherein 20°≤α°≤70°) and having a thickness equal to or thinner than 0.6 mm; and straight layers 21, 22 and 23 made of a fiber-reinforced resin including reinforced fibers that are oriented approximately in parallel to the axis. The bias layers 11, 12 and 13 and the straight layers 21, 22 and 23 are disposed alternately. The most inner layer is the bias layer 11. Either one bias layer 13 of the bias layers 11, 12 and 13 other than the most inner layer 11 is formed from a large-diameter end to a shaft length of 20-40%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
