PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for a portable device, which can enhance sunlight receiving efficiency and facilitate the operation to be connected to the portable device while holding the charger. SOLUTION: The charger for the portable device includes: a battery 23 and an electronic part substrate unit 25 each accommodated inside a case body 11 in a laminated state; a solar battery panel 20 provided over the entire top surface of the case body 11; an AC charging coupler 36 electrically coupled to the battery 23 through the electronic part substrate unit 25; and a charging connector 30 provided electrically connected to the battery 23 through the electronic part substrate unit 25 and connectable to the charging terminal of the portable device. The charger also has, on the bottom of the case body 11, a charging connector accommodating portion 28 for accommodating the charging connector 30 provided on the outside of the case body 11, in a projecting/retracting manner with regard to the charging connector accommodating portion 28.
