PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image after correcting the display direction of the image captured from a direction not-intended by an inspecting person due to the restriction of a setting place of an apparatus when capturing the image. SOLUTION: This method includes a first step of reading original image data stored in an image memory and displaying an original image of a predetermined size a×b on a screen of a display device, a second step of designating a point I (x, y) for changing the display direction of the image in the displayed original image, a third step of calculating the angle θ of inclination of the displayed original image from the designated point I (x, y) and a specific point O (0, 0) in the image, a fourth step of setting a display image area having the predetermined size a×b into the image memory with the reading direction vertical to the calculated angle θ of inclination, and a fifth step of reading the image data stored in the display image area set in the image memory in the reading direction and displaying the image having a display direction different from the original image data.
