<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control system for a vehicle for securing engine startability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A latch part 342 arranged for a shift ECU (electrical control unit) 34 of the start control system 2 for the vehicle is provided with an RS flip-flop 3422 for latching a voltage level of a start allow/disallow signal So for allowing/disallowing supply of a power source voltage Vb to a starter motor 48 for cranking and starting the engine 4 of the vehicle by using a reset signal Sr and a set signal Ss generated from control signals S1, S2 as input and a voltage clamp circuit 3420 for forcibly latching a voltage level of the start allow/disallow signal So to the RS flip-flop 3422 by fixing a voltage level of the reset signal Sr in the case that the power source voltage Vb equal to or lower than an initialization voltage Vi of a main control part 340 in a start operation period Ts accompanying start of the engine 4 is predicted.
