<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for adjusting an optical unit by which an observation part for observing transmitted light of an optical unit is easily and accurately aligned. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device for adjusting the optical unit 50 includes: a holding part 15 which holds the optical unit that is an object to be adjusted; a light source part 16 which emits luminous flux toward the holding part 15; a chart part 4 which is arranged on an optical path between the light source part 16 and the holding part 15 and where a plurality of transmission ports are formed; a mask 19 which can be arranged on the optical path between the light source part 16 and the holding part 15 and has one aperture; the observation part 11 which is arranged on an opposite side to the light source part 16 across the holding part 15; a positional deviation calculation part which calculates positional deviation of the observation part 11; and a moving mechanism 12 which moves the observation part 11 based on the positional deviation.
