PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer attachable and fixable to various piping flanges with a small number of strainers. SOLUTION: A casing 1 of the strainer is fixed by holding it between a pair of flanges of a pipe by bolts and nuts as external connection members. Centering flanges 2 are provided on an outer circumference of the casing 1. The centering flange 2 is provided with a minimum part 15 with the smallest outer diameter, a maximum part 16 with the largest outer diameter, and a curved surface 17 connecting both. The minimum part 15 is used when the size of the piping flange is small, and the maximum part 16 is used when the size of the piping flange is large, to thereby enable attachment to a plurality of piping flanges with one casing 1.
