The invention relates to a vacuum pump, particularly a vane pump, comprising a rotor which can be rotated about a rotational axis and through which at least one vane is moveably guided back and forth within a peripheral contour, against which the rotor nestles in a bevel gap. In the vicinity of said bevel gap, an outlet opening is provided in an axial delimiting surface of the housing. The invention is characterized in that at least one recess opening toward the outlet opening is provided on a part of the vacuum pump at least temporarily covering the outlet opening at least partially. |
