The method involves adapting clutch devices (K1, K2) such that a touch point of the clutch devices is determined during an adaptation phase, where the clutch devices are provided in a drive train (10) of a motor vehicle. The adaptation phase is released and/or executed depending on an opening condition of a tank ventilation device. The ventilation device is released from a partially opened condition to a closed condition or to a preset maximum opened condition. The adaptation phase is interrupted when the opening condition exceeds a preset maximum value. An independent claim is also included for a controller for controlling clutch devices, comprising a rotation-speed sensor.
