The clamp (10) has a cord (11) surrounding a pipe, and a rotary-actuatable clamping device clamping together both left and right cord ends (17, 18). A rotation axis of the clamping device runs coaxial to a pipe clamp axis. Left and right blocks (19, 20) and a trapezoidal wedge shaped piece (23) convert an axial rotation movement into a clamping movement that runs transverse to the rotation movement. The blocks have two angular surfaces (21, 22) that act opposite to each other and are tilted to a clamping direction. The angular surfaces are connected with the cord ends.
