<p>Disclosed is a novel therapeutic agent for adult T-cell leukemia, which has an anti-tumor effect specific to ATL cells. The therapeutic agent for adult T-cell leukemia is characterized by comprising a compound represented by formula (I) [wherein R1 represents H, OH, an alkoxy group, an acyl group, or a thioacyl group, and R2 represents an acyl group, a thioacyl group, CONR7R8, or CSNR7R8 (wherein R7 and R8 independently represent H, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group), or R1 and R2 may together form a ring; X1 and X2 independently represent -CR3R4-, -SiR3R4-, or an oxygen; and R3 and R4 independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms] or a prodrug thereof.</p> |
