<p>A sheet management device is provided with an issue number recognition unit (38) that carries out a character recognition of an issue number with predetermined number of digits for the identification of a bill, acquires a character recognition result including an identifiable character and/or an unidentifiable character, and acquires an issue number recognition result including an identifiable determined character and/or an unidentifiable error character based on the acquired character recognition result; an issue number registration condition processing unit (38B) that judges if the issue number recognition result satisfies a predetermined registration condition based on the determined character or the error character in the acquired issue number recognition result; and a DB control unit (38E) that, if this acquired symbol number recognition result satisfies the predetermined registration condition, stores bill detail information including this issue number recognition result at the database (33) and that, if the issue number recognition result does not satisfy the predetermined registration condition, prohibits the registration of the issue number recognition result at a database (33), thereby significantly reducing an operation burden on a user side required for the input of an issue number while avoiding a useless registration of an issue number.</p> |
