<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system, in which the thermal protection of a power converter for controlling the charge/discharge current of a power accumulator is possible, when the power accumulator is made chargeable by an external power source, and a vehicle, which includes it. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 100 includes: chargeable power accumulators 4-1 and 4-2; a charger 30, which externally charges the power accumulators, receiving power from an external power source; and converters 4-1 and 4-2, which convert voltages between the charger 30 and the power accumulators when the power accumulators are made chargeable by the external power source. The converters 4-1 and 4-2, inverters 8-1 and 8-2, and a capacitor C constitute a power control unit 20. The vehicle 100 further includes, as an auxiliary machine load 44, a cooler for a power control unit 20 and a controller 2 which controls the quantity of a supplied refrigerant in the cooler, according to the temperature of the power control unit 20, when the power accumulators 4-1 and 4-2 are made chargeable by the external power source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
