<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal that reduces the load of power consumption of a built-in battery when transmitting the presence information of own terminal to a number of communication partners. <P>SOLUTION: When terminal A updates the state of own terminal, e.g. the presence information representing stay-out, or the like, by user operation (Q1), the power supply state is checked (Q2) and if the external power supply or the remaining capacity of battery is good, the presence information is updated by adding "there is a server function", and transmitted to terminal B and terminal C which are group registered (Q3, Q6). The presence information of the terminal B and terminal C is then received (Q5, Q8). The terminal A of good power supply state transmits the presence information of all terminals to the all terminals (Q16, Q17) so that the presence information is shared.
