<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner visually recognizing presence/absence of electrostatic mist by using an electrostatic atomizer. <P>SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, when predetermined operation is performed by a remote controller etc. to confirm whether electrostatic mist is generated, confirmation control operation different from that during normal operation is performed. When the confirmation control operation is started by the predetermined operation, an output of the electrostatic atomizer is fixed at a certain value to generate electrostatic mist, and whether it is within an atomization range is detected and is displayed by a display means such as an LED.
