摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet with a simple construction, and a method of manufacturing the superconducting magnet which allows coils to be connected easily. SOLUTION: The superconducting magnet 100 includes: an upper coil 1 formed by concentrically winding a Bi-based superconducting magnet wire 10; a lower coil 2 formed by concentrically winding a Bi-based superconducting wire 20 and made adjacent to the axial side of the upper coil 1 in a way that an winding end 21 of the superconducting wire 20 is disposed adjacent to a winding end 12 of the superconducting wire 10 in the axial direction and both are disposed at locations circumferentially overlapping with each other when viewed from the axial direction; and a sheet-like connection member 3 connected to the winding end 12 of the superconducting wire 10 and the winding end 21 of the superconducting wire 20 to electrically connect both coils 1 and 2. The connection member 3 is formed by cutting a sheet like Y-based superconducting wire 3A including a sheet like superconducting layer 33 extending along a plane perpendicular to the thickness direction into a shape having an axial direction size L1 larger than the width of each superconducting wire 10, 20, and a circumferential size L2.
