<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify rocking operation of an arm rest by reliably performing the rocking operation of the arm rest into a using attitude or a retracting attitude. <P>SOLUTION: In an arm rest device, the arm rest is rocked freely into the using attitude wherein the end side of the arm rest projects to the front of a driver's seat and a retracting attitude wherein the end side of the arm rest projects upward to open the front of the driver's seat. The arm rest device includes: a biasing member which biases the arm rest to the retracting attitude side when the arm rest is rocked closer to the retracting attitude side than an intermediate position between the using position and the retracting attitude and to the using attitude side when the arm rest is rocked closer to the using attitude side; a using attitude stopper which stops the arm rest against biasing by the biasing member in the using attitude; and a retracting attitude stopper which stops the arm rest against biasing by the biasing member in the retracting attitude. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
