<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane module easy in opening a hollow fiber membrane after curing potting resin without using a cutter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane module is disclosed wherein a plurality of hollow fiber membranes are fixed to a casing member using the potting resin; a gelling material having thermal gelling characteristics is heated to a gelling temperature or higher to be gelled to seal the openings of the hollow fiber membranes; the potting resin is filled on the gelling material and solidified; and the gelling material is cooled below the gelling temperature to open the openings of the hollow fiber membranes.
