<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the improvement of productivity, the uniformization of quality and the improvement of strength, and to form a molten metal structure with low viscosity refined into a nanosize so as to prevent the generation of cavities causing cracks. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic stirring type casting method comprises: an electromagnetic stirring step where a molten metal S is charged to a cup 3 stored in an electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2 at a cut molten metal supply position, and the molten metal S in the cut 3 is made into a semi-solidified structure with low viscosity using the electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2; a molten metal pouring step where the electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2 is moved to a sleeve molten metal pouring position, the lower opening/closing part 3a formed at the lower part of the cup 3 is opened, and the molten metal S is poured from the lower part of the electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2 into the sleeve 4; and a cleaning step where the electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2 is moved to a cup cleaning position after the completion of the pouring, and the inside of the cup 3 is cleaned by an air blow from a compressed air jetting device 5 at the upper part as the lower opening/closing part 3a at the lower part of the cup 3 is opened. Further, the apparatus is provided with a movement mechanism part allowing the electromagnetic stirring apparatus 2 to move to the respective positions of the cut molten metal supplying position, the sleeve molten metal pouring position and the cup cleaning position.
