<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice drying machine free from fuel, dispensing with its fuel cost, reducing its maintenance costs and repair charge, reducing its purchase money, also usable as a box for carrying, extending its service life, and selling the rice shipped by a farmer as solar-dried rice (selling rice at a higher price as rice of a high value). Ž<P>SOLUTION: An air extracting device 2 is disposed in a net-like rotating drum 1 to dry the rice by utilizing naturally dried air and the sun, the external dry air is taken into rice husks by sucking the air in a central section from the air extracting device, and further the rice is placed under the sun so as to be dried. By obliquely disposing the rotating drum, the rice is evenly dried, and complicated structure and components is reduced. The drying machine can be also used for carrying by reducing its weight and applying solar electric power generation, that is, one machine can be used as both of the drying machine and a machine for carrying.
