The high-pressure forming of a single-layer or multi-layer composite (4) is carried out under the conditions of the known high-pressure forming method (see EP 0 371 425 B1) using a forming tool (9), which is basically known (see DE 41 13 568 C1), however which has a forming surface of at least 800 cm2 or an even larger forming surface, and which is equipped with a special seal. Said seal is a strand-shaped profile seal (20), which has a body which can be inserted in the groove (16) and from which at least one first sealing lip (24) protrudes, which is integrally formed in one piece and delimited by an inner sealing lip flank and by an outer sealing lip flank such that - said sealing lip (24) extending in a direction leading to the pressure dome of the first tool half (10), and - the inner sealing lip flank being oriented obliquely with respect to the direction of the plane of the sealing surface (13) such that the inflowing fluid pressure agent striking the inner sealing lip flank elastically deforms the sealing lip (24) and pushes it against the composite (4), which is clamped between the first tool half (10) and the second tool half (60). |
