Provided is an OFDM modulation/demodulation method in a transmission system for transmitting data from a transmission source to a transmission destination by the OFDM modulation/demodulation.  The method includes: a step (S1) in which the transmission source copies an OFDM modulation symbol which has been subjected to the OFDM modulation by a predetermined length in a predetermined position of the OFDM modulation symbol so as to extend a symbol section; a step (S2) in which the destination source transmits the OFDM modulation symbol containing the extended symbol section to the transmission destination; a step (S3) in which the transmission destination receives the OFDM modulation symbol from the transmission source and tries an OFDM demodulation on the received OFDM modulation symbol at a plurality of timings; and a step (S4) in which the transmission destination selects a demodulation result of the OFDM demodulation to be employed in accordance with the demodulation results of the OFDM demodulation at the plurality of timings.
