The method involves generating a water vapor by using an energy source. A vapor of water solution is introduced into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, where the vapor of water solution is generated using the energy source. Supply lines (2, 3) of the water vapor are provided in an intake device of the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Water is heated at manifold of an exhaust system, where the water is stored in a container (1).
