An analog counter includes, for at least one step: - an input (e1; e2) for receiving electric pulses; - a means (201; 202) for modifying, by consecutive increments or decrements, a storage voltage (V1; V2) for each received pulse; - a storage voltage reinitializing means (241; 242); - and a comparator (221; 222) for the storage voltage (V1; V2). An analog counter includes, for at least one step: - an input (e1; e2) for receiving electric pulses; - a means (201; 202) for modifying, by consecutive increments or decrements, a storage voltage (V1; V2) for each received pulse; - a storage voltage reinitializing means (241; 242); - a comparator (221; 222) for the storage voltage (V1; V2) at a threshold capable of generating overflow information (S1; S2); and - a control means (241; 242) capable of controlling the reinitializing means upon receipt of the overflow information (S1; S2) from the comparator (221; 222) and a pulse in the input (e1; e2).
