PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Hosta longipes(Fr.et Sav.) Matsumura as an active ingredient is provided to ensure anti-oxidation, skin irritation relief, anti-inflammation, and moisturization. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.001-30.0 weight% of Hosta longipes(Fr.et Sav.) Matsumura extract as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the Hosta longipes(Fr.et Sav.) Matsumura extract comprises: a step of extracting Hosta longipes(Fr.et Sav.) Matsumura with 10-95%(v/v) of ethanol solution at 70-85°C and infusing ; a step of filtering the infused extract to obtain filtered liquid; a step of decompressing the filtered liquid under 50°C; a step of freezing the decompressed concentrate; and a step of extracting the dried material with purified water, methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, dichloromethane, or hexane.
