<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a center precedence of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In a body casing 2 of a printer 1, a carrier belt 9 for carrying a sheet 100 and the first guide member 24 arranged on an upstream side in a carrying direction of the sheet 100 with respect to the carrier belt 9 are provided. In a process unit 50, a pressing member 31 arranged on the upstream side in the carrying direction with respect to the carrier belt 9 is provided. The pressing member 31 presses only a center area 100A of the sheet 100 in a width direction orthogonal to the carrying direction, so that the pressed center area 100A is pushed to the first guide member 24 arranged to be opposed to the pressing member 31. Thus, resistance occurs in only the center area 100A in the sheet 100 carried toward the carrier belt 9, so that the center area 100A is not carried prior to both end parts 100B in the width direction and the center precedence of the sheet 100 can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
