<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner container that exhibits high operability and high work efficiency when replaced, prevents a toner from remaining in a held portion when the toner runs out, enables the toner in the toner container to be substantially completely used up, and securely reduces the soiling of the toner, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner container includes: a container body 32Y2 for discharging the toner stored in it from an opening; and the held portion 32Y1 that discharges the toner which is discharged from the opening of the container body 32Y2 from a toner discharge port W which is opened and closed in conjunction with the attachment/detachment of held portion 32Y1 to/from the toner container storage, and is held in the toner container accommodation part without being rotated.
