<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diversify musical sound expression for performance operation, in an electronic percussion instrument for performing performance operation on a pad-shaped operation face. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic percussion instrument, any stored performance sound is allocated in one operation region which is one operation region of either a pad P of one partition operation face, or a group operation face G in which a plurality of pads P are combined. and performance sound allocated according to performance operation to the operation region is generated. A pad chain function is provided for each performance operation, that is, when multiple times of performance operation is performed in one operation region, performance sound allocated in one operation region is generated for some performance operations, and performance sound allocated to other operation region is generated for the other performance operations.
