<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the success rate of reconnection to a radio network controller (RNC) or to the other RNC without excessively increasing a network-side processing load when a radio terminal (UE) requests reconnection after connection to the RNC. <P>SOLUTION: The RNC is connected to one or more radio base transceiver stations (BTSs) and a core network (CN). The RNC includes a communication control section for controlling communication with the UE and a subscriber line extension processing section for receiving a signal from the other RNC and transmitting the signal to the other RNC so that the signal can be transmitted and received between the UE and the RNC via the other RNC. When a reconnection request signal transmitted from the UE is received by the RNC via the other RNC, the communication control section determines whether the communication path between and among the RNC, the other RNC, and the UE is established or not. If the establishment of the communication path is not confirmed, the CN is notified that control for communication with the UE should be carried out by the other RNC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
