<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hood locking device which requires only a small number of components by making a secondary lever also serve as a pawl. <P>SOLUTION: A striker 3 is provided on the side of a hood 1. A latch 5 for engaging with/disengaging from the striker 3 along with rotation while locking the hood 1 in a fully-closed state when engaging with the striker 3, and the secondary lever 6 for engaging with/disengaging from the striker 3 along with rotation while locking the hood 1 in a slightly-opened state when engaging with the striker 3 are installed on the side of a vehicle body 2. Also, a latch pressing portion 15, which regulates the rotation of the latch 5 engaging with the striker 3 in the direction for releasing the striker, is integrally provided in the secondary lever 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
