PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device such as a digital camera, in which pattern noise caused by a variation of an electric power source is reduced to improve the image quality of the imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging device operates to resolve a taken image, which includes effective portions and optical blacks (OB), into a plurality of frequency components and determine a position with pattern noise generated and a pattern noise amount from the frequency components of the OB. Based on the calculated result, it performs noise-suppression processing on frequency components of the effective portions. Then it obtains a noise-suppressed image by synthesizing the frequency components subjected to noise-suppression processing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
