PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing the conveyance precision of a recording medium by using a belt. SOLUTION: The recording medium conveying speed is possibly changed in accordance with variation of the number of nips formed by the plurality of image forming parts and the paper. Then, when the number of nips formed by the image forming parts and the paper changes, the belt driving speed is changed so as to suppress paper speed variation.
