<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine capable of promoting the process of turning the atomized fuel into finer particulates with less variation in particle sizes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve of the internal combustion engine has a weighing plate 2 furnished with at least one jet nozzle 4 and is configured so that the fuel flowing along the inner wall surface 6 of the weighing plate 2 flows into the jet nozzles 4 from the jet inlet formed at the inner wall surface 6 of the plate 2, and upon passing through the jet nozzles 4, jets out of the outlet nozzles formed at the outer wall surface 13 of the plate 2, wherein a recess 11a ranging from the edge 12 of the jet nozzle inlet to the edge 14 of the jet nozzle outlet is formed in one part of the jet nozzle inside surface 11 located upstream of the fuel flowing direction along the inner wall surface 6 of the plate 2.
