<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document conveying device capable of improving the straight advancing property of documents to a reading section with simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automatic document conveying device includes a pair of carrier rollers for conveying the document placed on a document tray to the reading section. The pair of carrier rollers is composed of a drive roller and a driven roller 28b drivenly rotated abutting on the drive roller, and a roller 31 larger in diameter than the driven roller 28b is arranged coaxially with the driven roller 28b so as to be freely rotatable. A plurality of driven rollers 28b are disposed in the width direction of the document, and the roller 31 is arranged in a position held between the plurality of driven rollers 28b. For instance, the roller 31 is arranged at the center in the width direction of the document, and the driven rollers 28b are disposed on both sides of the roller 31.
