PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which reduces magnetic sound by attaining size reduction and high output, and reduction in cogging torque. SOLUTION: A magnet 22 includes an outer circumferential portion 52 opposing the inner circumferential surface of a yoke 21, an inner circumferential portion 53 formed in an arc-shape as seen on a flat surface in the axial direction and opposed to the tip surface of teeth 50, and a second flat portion 55 formed on the circumferential both ends of the inner circumferential portion 53. The relation among these portions is set: W1≥D×0.4 and W2≥W1×0.05, wherein the outer diameter of an armature core 11 is D, the width of the outer circumferential portion is W1 and the width of the flat portion is W2.
