PURPOSE: A steel tower for a power transmission is provided to improve electrical characteristic and mechanical strength by positioning insulating arms in an octagonal shape. CONSTITUTION: A steel tower for a power transmission comprises a steel tower main body(110), an arm for an overhead earth wire(150), first to sixth insulating arms(121,122,123,124,125,126), first to sixth connectors(131,132,133,134,135,136) and first to tenth auxiliary insulating arms(141,142,143,144,145,146,147,148,149,140). One ends of the first to sixth insulating arms are connected to the steel tower main body. The first to the tenth auxiliary insulating arms selectively connect the other ends of the first to sixth insulating arms to the steel tower main body.
