<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound emitting apparatus which solves problems of sound image localization, sound quality deterioration resulting from difference of reproduction capability between a subwoofer and a loudspeaker. <P>SOLUTION: When a user performs an operation for turning up (or turning down) the volume of the subwoofer, filter characteristics of an LPF 163 are changed according to an amount of change of an output level of a subwoofer signal, and the output level of the subwoofer equal to or more than a crossover frequency is maintained.
